How to publish a document from Claude Cowork

Cowork finishes the task on its own and leaves a document in a folder on your computer, ready to attach to an email. Connect Birta once and Cowork publishes it as a page at an address you own: a link instead of an attachment, remarks on the page itself, a new version on the same link after every edit.

What Claude Cowork gives you today

A file in your folder

Cowork reads and writes local files inside Claude Desktop and returns spreadsheets, presentations and formatted documents. To share one, you send the file.

Feedback comes back by email

Each reviewer edits their own copy or replies in a thread, and you merge the notes into the next draft by hand.

Connect Claude Cowork to Birta once

Give Claude Cowork a place to publish the document it already has.

  1. 1

    Add Birta from Claude’s directory

Open the card in Claude’s directory

Cowork uses the connectors enabled for your Claude account, so you add it once in Customize, then Connectors. The card carries the details.

  2. 2

No card? Add it by hand

    https://birta.dev/mcp

Customize, then Connectors, then + Add and Add custom connector. Free allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it under Organization settings, then each member connects.

  3. 3

Start a Cowork task and sign in once

Cowork loads connectors when a session starts. The first time it uses Birta, a browser tab asks you to sign in with a one-time code from your email or with Google. No key to copy.

Then ask Claude Cowork to publish

Copy this into the conversation where Claude Cowork made your document.

Claude Cowork

Publish the document you just wrote as a page on Birta. Save it as index.md in markdown, keep headings and tables, and put any images next to it. Create a project named "Quarterly report", upload the files, publish, and give me the live link.

  • published, version 1
  • here is the live link: pricing-calculator.birta.link

Share it. Keep making it better.

Tell Claude Cowork what to change. It publishes again to the same address.

Same URL after edits

Each change is a new version on the same address. Every version is kept, rollback is one step.

Only certain people

Close version links to everyone but the people you add. They sign in and leave remarks on the page.
