How to share a Gemini artifact

Gemini built the interactive app, and Share gives it a public link on Google's domain: a frozen copy whose data anyone with the link can edit. Connect Birta once and the same app gets an address you own: your domain, your choice of who opens it, the same link after every edit.

What Gemini gives you today

Share: a frozen copy on Google's domain

The g.co/gemini/share link shows the app as it was when you made the link. Change it afterwards and the people you sent it to still see the old one.

Open data, no site file

Anyone with the public link can view and edit the app's data. Export goes to Docs, Slides, PDF or Colab, not to a file a host can serve.

Connect Gemini to Birta once

Give Gemini a place to publish the artifact it already has.

  1. 1

    Open custom apps

On gemini.google.com open Settings, then Connected Apps, then Custom apps, and choose Add a custom app.

  2. 2

    Paste the address

    https://birta.dev/mcp

Name it Birta. Google opens custom apps to personal accounts, 18 or over, in the US, with Gemini in English, and only on the web.

  3. 3

    Sign in once

The first time Gemini uses Birta, a browser tab asks you to sign in — with a one-time code from your email or with Google. No key to copy.

Then ask Gemini to publish

Copy this into the conversation where Gemini made your artifact.

Gemini

Publish the artifact that is open in this conversation as a site on Birta. Create a project named "Pricing calculator", put it into index.html with its CSS and JavaScript, publish it, and give me the live link. If anything in it needs Gemini to run, tell me what will change first.

  • published, version 1
  • here is the live link: pricing-calculator.birta.link

Share it. Keep making it better.

Tell Gemini what to change. It publishes again to the same address.

Same URL after edits

Each change is a new version on the same address. Every version is kept, rollback is one step.

Only certain people

Close version links to everyone but the people you add. They sign in and leave remarks on the page.
