Connect Claude Cowork

Claude Cowork runs inside the Claude apps (desktop, web and mobile) on a paid plan. It uses the connectors you have in Claude, so you add Birta once and Cowork can use it.

  1. 1. Add Birta from Claude's directory

Open the Birta card in Claude's directory of connectors and add it to your Claude. There is nothing to type: the card carries the connection details already.

  2. 2. No card in the directory? Add it by hand

In Claude, open SettingsConnectors, click Add custom connector, enter a name — for example Birta — and paste this address:

    https://birta.dev/mcp

On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds it once under Organization settingsConnectors, and everyone else just connects it.

  3. 3. Turn it on for Cowork and allow access

Enable Birta for your Cowork task. The first time it's used, Claude opens a Birta page in your browser: sign in with the one-time code sent to your email and allow access. Cowork keeps its own access after that.

  4. 4. How it works

Claude Cowork works on a draft of your site: it writes the pages file by file, starting from scratch or from a copy of a version you already published. Nothing on your live site changes while it does.

The draft has its own address. Open it, and mark what you want changed straight on the page. Tell Claude Cowork you have left remarks, it changes the same draft, and you refresh the page you already have open — the address stays the same round after round.

When it looks right, say so — Claude Cowork publishes the draft, and only then does your site address start serving it.

  5. 5. Check that it works

Ask Claude Cowork to list your Birta projects. If it can see them, the connection is ready and you can ask it to publish or update a site.
